Feathering

Feathered insulation materials are primarily intended for transformer manufactures. They are used as insulation between the primary and secondary windings. Our technology allows us to manufacture insulation in width min. 20 mm - max. 240 mm with double-sided feathering with depth min. 2 mm - max. 10 mm.

We standardly practice feathering of insulation material to thicknesses of 0.50 mm and width of 320 mm. Among the most frequently processed materials include polyester films, aramid paper Nomex®, Kapton polyimide film. Laminated materials based on a polyester film and a polyester mat (phenolic paper, DMD, DM) based on the polyester film and aramid paper Nomex® (NP, NPN), further laminated materials based on aramid paper Nomex® and the polyimide film (Kapton®NKN).
